On Tuesday, July 11th and Wednesday, July 12th, the House Rules Committee will vote on whether to allow the U.S. House to vote on four amendments that would impose sanctions on Turkey, effectively punishing the Erdogan government for it's violent, undemocratic, and anti-American actions.
If the Committee votes YES, the U.S. House will be able to send a powerful American message to Turkey. If they vote NO, these amendments will die in Committee, and Turkey will (once again) dodge accountability for its crimes.
Please urge your U.S. Representative to support passage and vote for the Turkey sanctions amendments. Your letter will be automatically customized based on your U.S. Representative's committee membership. Those serving on the Rules Committee will be asked to vote yes during their panel's consideration of the measures. Those not on the Rules Committee will be asked to vote for the measures upon arrival to the House floor.
